Emmaus House is a support home, which means exactly what it says.  Rather than provide care, at Emmaus House we provide support for some of your care needs.  Many seniors find themselves in a position where cooking and cleaning and laundry become challenges, and we do all of those things for you.  We also provide a family atmosphere and the opportunity to socialize with other residents if that’s what you like to do. 

Yes, there is someone on staff 24/7 at Emmaus House.  The night staff are sleeping staff but are always available to give assistance to anyone who needs it.

Included in the monthly rent is 3 well balanced excellent meals per day, weekly room housekeeping and laundry, in room Cablevision, wifi, lifeline, as well as activities and a daily exercise program.

Yes, there is a phone line in each room, but you will need to arrange for and pay your monthly charges separately.

Your family are welcome any time.  They will even be invited to stay for dinner from time-to-time!

Unfortunately Emmaus House is not pet friendly.

Absolutely!  Some of our rooms would be more than large enough to accommodate 2 people!  Special rates are available…..please enquire if you’re interested!

Many people move into Emmaus House capable of handling all of their own affairs and capable of all of their personal care.  Sometimes as time goes by things change.  While we are not able to provide personal care for any of our residents, families can arrange for private caregivers to begin coming to provide assistance, either through Northern Health’s Home and Community Care, or through the private sector.

At Emmaus House we do our best to accommodate food allergies and/or restrictions.

We can provide medication reminders for our residents.

Yes.  By leaving a $200 non-refundable deposit, you can be placed on the wait list.  Once your name is on the wait list, you will be contacted as soon as a room comes available, and will be given 48 hours to make a decision as to whether or not you would like to rent it.
